Round numbers are supporting context
Round-number levels are best used as simple psychological reference points, not as magical stand-alone zones. Their real value comes from showing where many traders are likely to pay attention.
They matter more when they overlap
A round number becomes more useful when it lines up with a session high, pivot, VWAP interaction, or obvious structure edge. The overlap gives the level more practical weight.
Use a sensible interval for the instrument
The interval that works on one market can be useless on another. The goal is to choose spacing that feels natural for the instrument instead of cluttering the chart with unnecessary lines.
